In the maritime field, ‘tier’, the German term  for ‘animal’, denotes ‘a  layer of sacks, barrels  and other cargo’. In English, the notion is also used to describe a row, level, container position or wall section. Industrial and found materials, natural produce, ink drawings, illustrations from animal books, lexicon entries, analogue and digital collages and photographs are presented in dialogue with the space and each other, creating multiple meanings and associative links.
